Confirmed gas leak at Langstone House

The latest situation following the confirmed gas leak at Langstone House in Lockerly Road, West Leigh, Havant is as follows:

As at 3.30pm today tests completed by Southern Gas Network have confirmed that emissions in the building have returned to safe levels.

We are therefore delighted to announce that residents are able to return to their homes at Langstone House today.

We will be initiating a controlled return to Langstone House and residents will need to report to the rest centre at Havant Leisure Centre or call the emergency helpline to arrange returning home. Emergency telephone helpline 023 9279 4500 option 2.

The rest centre will remain open until all residents are safely back at home.

The emergency planning team involving, Guinness Hermitage, Havant Borough Council, Hampshire County Council and the Police will dissolve once everyone is back home this evening.
